So we’re still online, but this week is the 2022 SCBWI Winter Conference. I really love the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and their conferences are always a great and exciting mix of inspiration, craft, business, opportunity, and community for those of us who write, illustrate, and/or translate books for kids and teens.

This week is the 2022 Winter Conference, and the first of many socials is Tuesday February 8, 2022 -and it will be hosted by me! – it’s the LGBTQIA2+ social, for folks creating works for kids and teens with Queer characters and/or themes.

The rest of the conference, from Brian Selznick’s Friday Feb 11 opening keynote through all the keynotes, panels, socials, illustrator sessions, and chances to connect with agents and editors to Sunday’s awards and wrap-up session promises to be wonderful!
