I’m proud to work at an association that wants to empower more diversity, equity, opportunity, and access in publishing, and it’s very nice to have the opportunity to do even more!

It’s also really cool that my author identity is included in these announcements — being an author with 7 books released or under contract with independent publishers makes me understand on a deep level how important it is that we have independent publishers in the mix, and not just five corporations deciding what everyone can read.

Having a day job is a reality of my author journey, and I’m so grateful it’s one I love. Thanks for letting me share about what I do when I’m not in “writer/author” mode!
